PREEMIE TUBE PILLOWS

San Diego ASG has had a request from Rady Children's Hospital (here in San Diego) to make Preemie Tube Pillows in 3 sizes.

Following are the finished sizes they are requesting:

First Size: 15" x 5"

Second Size: 28" x 7"

Third Size: 36" x 10"

Tube pillows should be made out of soft flannel or knit.
Add seam allowances of either 1/4" or 1/2".

• These are filled with 8 oz of batting.
• The batting is cut 1" smaller in width and twice the length and then folded in half lengthwise to be inserted in the tube.
• Fold fabric right sides together, lay batting on top, stitch across one end where you have put a thread or cord to help turn tube and down long side.
• Turn and stitch across open end.
