ANNUAL CONFERENCE July 12-15, 2018 Las Vegas, NV
The entry form for this year’s conference fashion show is now available on the ASG website. Under Resources, click on ASG Conference, then under General Information, you’ll find Fashion Show Entry Form. Design through the Decades – ASG 40 & Fabulous! is the title and theme of this year’s fashion show. The fashion show committee is chaired by Carolyn Meyers of the Pittsburgh, PA Chapter.
Local Sewing Classes
We are always looking for classes to enhance our skills. The following is a list of teachers and schools to help fulfill our needs. If you know of classes not listed here please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the information.
Nancy teaches basic and intermediate sewing. She also offers instruction on all types of sewing machines, sergers and embroidery machines. A credentialed teacher with over 50 years of sewing experience, Nancy has written a Basic Sewing Workbook. Come and learn clothing construction, home dec, embroidery or quilting. Jaci provides instruction on the most commonly used sewing machines; including various models of straight needles and sergers (overlocks). Classes are open to individuals or small groups at your choosing and venue, evenings or weekends. Age level sugggested would be from 12 to adult. Classes can be s specific as you require or skill building based. Learn 'gorilla mending', alterations, how to sew various fabrics, or just get a few hours to work through that last project problem and get rolling again. Enjoy the satisfaction of having clothing fit your unique figure; whether altering existing clothing or making something from the beginning.
Jaci's experience covers a wide range. She has been sewing for over 50 Years, worked in the garment industry, has taught as San Diego Continuing Education, and maintains a thriving personal Custom
Sewing business specializing in Costuming, Lingerie, and Dancewear. She is located in Central San Diego but is open to traveling within a 20 mile radius.

Judy Stinton is a textile artist with a studio in San Diego’s Spanish Village Art Center. She produces award-winning hand dyed silk clothing that’s really wearable as well as jewelry and accessories. Her jewelry, which was featured in Sew News, has been described as colorful, flamboyant and elegant. As an author, teacher, artist, color & image consultant and designer, Judy’s career integrates many facets of her love for textiles.
